Does tyre pressure make a difference to handling

To achieve maximum grip it is vital to have the correct tyre pressures. The correct inflation means that the tyre will be gripping the road surface as designed. An under inflated tyre can over heat and burst and will lead to poor handling with understeer and oversteer depending upon which tyre is low.

Also over inflated tyres are more likely to get damaged  when hitting lumps and bumps in the road. An over inflated tyre will reduce fuel consumption increasing the resistance to the road.
